BSF jawan killed in ceasefire violation by Pakistan

Samba (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Jan 19 (ANI): A Border Security Force (BSF) head constable was killed as Pakistan resorted to ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

Eleven civilians have also been injured in the various sectors of Jammu and Kashmir as Pakistan violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) today.

Meanwhile, ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Nowshera Sector of Rajouri has been reported.

People are being evacuated from affected areas of Kathua's Hiranagar sector after injuries to five civilians in ceasefire violation by Pakistan.

Mortar shells fired from the other side of the border were also found in the Hiranagar sector.

Earlier in the day, two civilians were killed in a ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kashmir's RS Pura sector.

The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have launched a retaliatory firing and exchange of fire is still going on.

This is the second consecutive day when Pakistan Rangers have heavily shelled civilian areas and border outposts (BoPs).(ANI)
