BJP ups the ante against its workers' killings

Bhilai (Chhattisgarh) [India], Oct. 15 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Saroj Pandey on Sunday said that her party will give a befitting reply if the killings of BJP-RSS workers continue in Kerala.

"We have the authority to defend ourselves. Any government that is formed at the state should work in good faith. We believe in democracy, so should the governments in West Bengal and Kerala," she told reporters here.

Further, talking about the 'Jan Raksha Yatra', which was flagged off by BJP president Amit Shah on October 3, Pandey said the party will come out in support of its workers, and will vehemently oppose any kind of mistreatment to them.

"We have started this 'Jan Raksha Yatra' so that if our party workers face such violence in future, we will respond in the same manner," Pandey said.

Earlier, the BJP president had slammed Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, alleging that maximum killings of BJP and RSS workers had taken place in the latter's home district of Kannur.

Shah alleged that at least 120 BJP workers have been killed since the communists came to power in Kerala in May, 2016.
