BJP Chief Amit Shah thanks Delhiites for their massive support: 5 things to know

Kolkata: Bharatiya Janta Party Chief Amit Shah on Wednesday thanked Delhiites for their massive support to the party in Municipal Corporation polls. Shah who is currently in Kolkata to launch BJP’s expansion drive, aimed at expanding his party’s footprints ahead of 2020 elections. Amit Shah briefing major takeaways:
  • Amit Shah while addressing a briefing thanked Delhiites for showing their massive support in MCD polls, where BJP attained 185 seats of the total 270 “Thank you Delhi for believing in our party and showing great support” shah said
  • Shah also took a dig at Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal for his constant allegations against BJP of tampering EVM machines. Saying that Kejriwal won 2015 polls via attainting votes from the same EVMs, Shah sought a reply from Kejriwal from the same. “2015 mein isi EVM se Kejriwal chun kar aaye the, iska jawab dein”
  • Shah was also seen lauding Manoj Tiwari for his excellent campaigning and hard work in Delhi saying, “2015 mein isi EVM se Kejriwal chun kar aaye the, iska jawab dein” (The victory has pulled BJP’s throne even further)
  • Shah also took a snipe at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Bannerjee for her anti-BJP ideology saying “Mamata has only been talking against BJP lately, this is a cause of concern for the communists”
  • Giving a befitting reply to the opposition over various allegations levied on the party after the Chhattisgarh Naxal attack, Shah claimed that the Naxal activities have reduced under BJP’s rule and that parties which are pointing fingers at BJP are those under whose rule Naxals rose
