Baffled Pakistan violates ceasefire, attacks school building; kills 2 soldiers

Srinagar: Baffled by failed attempts to infiltrate Indian Territory, and repeated killing of Pakistani terrorists, Pakistan on Tuesday hit a new low and attacked a school in Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army gave a befitting reply to Pakistani firing, which claimed the lives of two Indian soldiers. The attacks came during repeated firing in Nowshera and Naugam sector. Pakistan resorted to heavy firing on Tuesday afternoon and also shelled mortars aiming at Indian posts. The firing led to massive trouble for young school going kids, who were trapped inside the school building due to heavy firing. Several mortars fired by Pakistan also fell on the school building which holed up many students; this led to a lot of panic amongst students. “A sudden firing began at 1:30 am and all the teachers gathered in one of the classrooms” told a student. She further added that “the incident has scared all of us”. Speaking to ABP News, a school teacher said “the firing began in the middle of the classes, which shook all the students and teachers”. As soon as security officials were informed that school students are trapped, they immediately resumed rescue operations and ensured all the students are transported to safer placed via bullet proof vans. 2 soldiers die in Pakistani firing: Soldier Jaspreet Singh lost his life in Pakistan firing in Nowshera on Tuesday. The 24-year-old martyr belonged to Moga, Punjab. Another soldier lost his life in Naugam. Pakistan won’t relent: Pakistan Army has been repeatedly violating ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir.
