Anantnag: One policeman shot in neck by terrorists

Srinagar: In yet another terror attack, terrorists on Monday shot at and critically injured a policeman in Anantnag town of south Kashmir. Constable Ghulam Hassan was shot in the neck by terrorists from close range at Anantnag bus stand, a police official said. The injured policeman was immediately taken to district hospital Anantnag from where he was referred to 92 Base Hospital of the Army in view of his "critical" condition. Unfortunately, Hassan was unarmed at the time of the attack, the official said. The incident comes parallel to a knocking down of terrorists by security officials in Pulwama. Two of the three Hizbul terrorists who had been holed up in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir were gunned down by security officials on Monday morning. As per the sources, one of the three terrorists was Hizbul leader Saifulla who managed to escape Army’s gun. The operation was on since Sunday night after the Army received a tip-off that terrorists were hiding in a house.
