Anant Kumar speaks about major announcements made by PM Modi during all party meet

New Delhi: With the Monsson session of parliament beginning resuming from Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘pacified’ the opposition with his commitments and assurances during an all-party-meet called by him at parliament’s library at 11am on Sunday. Speaking after the meeting got over, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anant Kumar said, “PM Modi condemned mob lynching by cow vigilantes in the name of cow protection”. He further added that “PM has assured strict action and urgent probe against those who resort to killing in the name of cow”. He also asserted that “strict action against those who take law in their own hands has been assured”. He also said that during the meet, PM congratulated various political parties over the successful implementation of GST. As per Congress sources, Congress was set to stage a protest outside the parliament against GST. Speaking on Presidential elections, he said “PM has sought support from various parties during the voting for Presidential elections”. Hinting at the ongoing controversy over RJD Chief Lalu Prasad’s son and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav, Anant Kumar said “PM has assured zero tolerance against those who indulge in corruption”. Agead of the meeting, Trinamool Congress declared that it would boycott the all party meet called by PM Narendra Modi and would attend the meeting called later in the day Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan.
