Ae Dil Hai Mushkil should be allowed to release, says Madhur Bhandarkar

New Delhi: Ae Dil Hai Mushkil film should be allowed to release and there should not be any protest, said director Madhur Bhandarkar on Thursday. "It should be allowed to release smoothly, there should be no protest. Very happy that Rajnath Singh assured producers", he said. Meanwhile, Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Babul Supriyo termed the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) as the party of goons. "MNS should not have the right or audacity to create ruckus at theaters, they have always been a party of goons", he said. "From now on Indian filmmakers will not be working with Pak artists, but these films were made when situations were normal", he added. "MNS workers are just trying to create fear in the minds of people, they don’t have any right to play with law and order," Babul Supriyo said after meeting Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Producer Mukesh Bhatt who also went to meet Mr Singh said, "It doesn’t matter to us that Pakistan has banned our content in their country, our content is released worldwide and we don’t need Pak". After meeting the Home Minister producer said that-"Rajnath ji said he will speak to Chief Ministers of every state and that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will release without any violence or issue". "Rajnath Singh ji assured us 100 percent support and that he will convey to CM to maintain law and order," said Mr Bhatt. He also clarified that, those who do not want to watch the film are free to not watch it, but they should not stop others. It is pertinent to mention here that MNS chief Raj Thackeray has threatened that his party will not allow films featuring Pakistani artists to run in India. Earlier, director Karan Johar, Mukesh Bhatt and others had decided to meet the Home Minister regarding the smooth release of the film which is scheduled to hit the screen on October 28th. The film is in controversy as it has Pakistani artist Fawad Khan and after Uri attack, there has been increasing demand of banning neighbouring artists from Indian cinema.
