Islamabad: Pakistani singer Adnan Sami, who would be given Indian citizenship by the government, has told many lies in his application. ABP News have a full account of the lies he has written in the affidavit submitted to get Indian citizenship.
Adnan has written in his application that he has only one criminal case against him pertaining to a marital issue. However, the truth is that he has many other criminal cases registered against him. Apart from cases of non-payment of dues, Adnan has a case against him in stringent FEMA act. All these cases have failed to find mention.
According to a document, he has cases under Section 420, Section 323, Section 504, Section 506, Section 498 A, Section 406 and Section 384 registered against him.
Shockingly, Adnan has failed to make payments to former secretary, house maid and his security agency. He has also cases of non-payment of income tax.
The Union home ministry is mulling over granting him a citizenship by naturalization in view of his distinguished contribution to Indian music.
He was allowed to stay indefinitely in India in August, following the non-renewal of his Pakistani passport.
Adnan was born in London to a Pakistani Pashtun father and an Indian Kashmiri mother. He was brought up in an aristocratic family and educated in the UK, but on contrary to this, he has a Canadian citizenship.
