ABVP to protest against Delhi police demanding action in last year's anti-India sloganeering case in JNU

New Delhi: ABVP will protest against Delhi Police on Wednesday demanding action in the 9th February anti-India sloganeering case in JNU here in the national capital. "It has been one year and no action has been taken and chargesheet has not been filed yet. There are reports in the media that the videos of the anti-India slogans raised by student leaders of communist organizations have been found authentic", said Shreerang Kulkarni, head, national media Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad to ABP Live. "We demand that all those who raised such slogans in JNU should be prosecuted as soon as possible as per law", he added. Meanwhile, two members of ABVP arrested for allegedly attacking a group of AISA supporters, were on Wednesday suspended from the RSS-backed outfit for their act of "indiscipline". Prashant Mishra and Vinayak Sharma, the accused students, allegedly strangulated AISA activists Raj Singh and Utkarsh Bhardwaj. The incident happened near Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College on Tuesday evening. "We condemn this act by the two students and advocate a violence-free atmosphere on campus. On basis of preliminary information, the two members have been suspended from the party for their act of indiscipline. An interim enquiry has been ordered to take further action," ABVP national media convener Saket Bahuhuna said.
