A military conflict with India is now inevitable: Chinese media

New Delhi: In a warning to India, a Chinese newspaper on Wednesday said that the days of military conflict between India and China are not far. It said that the countdown has begun and before it's too late New Delhi should come to senses and withdraw troops from Doklam. Chinese media of late has indulged in criticising and threatening India and this piece was the latest addition to the hostile commentaries. In an editorial, the newspaper told India that "the clock is ticking away". According to the newspaper, if India did not withdraw troops from Doklam, it will only have itself to blame. The countdown to a clash between the two forces has begun, and the clock is ticking away the time to what seems to be an inevitable conclusion," it said. "As the standoff ... enters its seventh week, the window for a peaceful solution is closing. Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear will have got the message. Yet New Delhi refuses to come to its senses and pull its troops back to its own side of the border, " it said. India proposed China to simultaneously withdraw its troop from Doklam ,which China turned down.

According to reports, Wang Wenli, Deputy Director General of the Boundary and Ocean Affairs of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave a sterner reply and said what New Delhi would do if it “enters” Kalapani region in Uttarakhand or Kashmir. The newspaper said India had ignored China's stern warnings.
