Mumbai:  The Special Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (TADA) court will pronounce order against Abu Salem and seven others who were involved in Mumbai 1993 blasts on June 16. The other accused involved were Dossa, Karimullah Khan, Firoz Abdul Rashid Khan, Riyaz Siddiqui, Tahir Merchant and Abdul Qayyum. Thirteen powerful blasts ripped through Mumbai on March 12, 1993 killing around 250 people and leaving 700 injured. Earlier the TADA court convicted 100 men in 2006, including Yakub Memon who was executed on July 30, 2015. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was also named in the blast cases. He was convicted under the arms acts and was released last year. According to the reports Salem left the country and moved to Dubai after the attacks, when police started targeting the suspects. The attacks were allegedly carried out by India’s most wanted men, Dawood Ibrahim and Tiger. Salem is accused in a slew of cases that involve murder and extortion. He is currently lodged in Taloja Jail in Navi Mumbai. Salem was extradited from Portugal in 2005 and was sentenced to life imprisonment by a special court in the 1995 murder of Mumbai builder Pradeep Jain.
