The 82-year-old, Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa's family claims he has been on a hunger strike since January 16.
The footage, around 11-and-a-half minutes, purportedly shows Khalsa having lassi, banana shake, dal, khichdi, vegetables, milk, almonds and other dry fruits.
Interesting, Khalsa is purportedly seen speaking multiple times. From commenting on the taste of the food to remarking that it is home-made and asking what his next meal would be, he asks all questions.
Khalsa’ son, Ravi Inderjit Singh Gogi, while confirming that the man in the video is his father, claimed he consumed the food after being “drugged” by doctors.
Son also said the footage was taken recently when Khalsa was admitted to PGIMER, Chandigarh.
The Sikh activist has been demanding the release of Sikh prisoners allegedly languishing in jails even after having completed their term of sentence.
