Indian smart watch to alert friends when a woman is in danger

New Delhi: Hug Smart Watch launched by Hug Innovations, an Indian technology start-up at Future Unleashed will be available on Flipkart from August for Rs.9999 only. Future Unleashed was Microsoft's largest ever customer conference held in India last year. Moved by the Nirbhaya case in December 2012, Andhra Pradesh techie Raja Shekhar Neravati, developed this next-generation wearable device through which women can alert family, friends and police when in distress and danger. It has got security features such as an SOS button, continuous heart rate monitoring and fatigue detection. Apart from ensuring personal safety, this smart watch is capable of navigating smart televisions, controlling virtual reality-based applications through hand gestures and flying drones. The watch is built with traditional features for users to make calls, track physical activity and nutrition, play music and find devices.  The company also plans to launch another generation of devices that will aim at healthcare.
