New Delhi: Months after the launch of its flagship iPhone 6s models, Apple has slashed the prices of the mobile handsets massively.
According to report in ET, the prices of iPhone 6s 16 GB model have fallen by 11-16 per cent. The variant was launched on October 16 at an introductory price of Rs 62,000. Now it is selling at Rs 52,000-50,000 at major retailers. There is an average 15 percent decline in the prices of all the variants of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.
The move was made to support the dwindling sales of the flagship device. The move is also said to diminish the difference of prices between iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s devices. The models were Rs 14,000-Rs 16,000 costlier.
This was the second such move in a matter of days. Recently, Apple decided to sell iPhone 5s at half the launch price in India.
Apple iPhone 5s with 16GB storage is now available for Rs 22,500. Online the price of the phone is even cheaper.
If your budget is low, Apple iPhone is what you desire above all, iPhone 5s is a good option and knowing the quality of Apple devices, this one will easily last for two years without trouble.
However, there is a chance that the iPhone 5s, (launched in 2013) might not get the iOS 10 update. If the update comes, the phone might just become slower as it has happened in the past for some users on older iOS devices.
Plus some of newer features might be restricted to iPhone 6 series and above.
However, the company has not officially announced a price-cut.
