A new feature in WhatsApp which you must know!

New Delhi: Popular messaging application WhatsApp is on its way to introduce a new feature that will allow users to pin their favourite chats to the top. This will allow users to pin conversations with their favourite contacts to the top to the Chats tab. Reports say the new feature is being tested on Android for now, but is expected to roll out to stable versions of the app soon. For this you need to simply press on the individual/ group chat you want to pin to the top, and choose the Pin symbol from the top bar. The other options alongside Pin that would be available are Delete, Mute, and Archive. Since it is pinned, the conversation stays on top of the list despite the most recent chat coming in. It is a similar feature that works in Facebook and Twitter as well, where you can pin up your favourite posts right on top of your page’s timeline. Moving ahead, WhatsApp allows you to pin up three chats, after which it will throw a notification that ‘You can only pin up to 3 chats’ if you try to pin another chat. To unpin it, you need to long press the option, and disable the Pin button. As mentioned, this feature is in beta and has not rolled out to stable versions yet. If you cannot wait to use these feature, sign up for WhatsApp beta on Google Play from your Android phone.
