Trump or Hillary, we will know soon: Here's how US President is elected

New Delhi: In 48 hours, the entire world will come to know who will be the President of the most powerful nation, Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. However, in USA, the process of election for President is different from the one in India. The election of President and Vice President of the US is, technically, an indirect election. In this, citizens of the United States who are registered to vote in one of the fifty states or Washington, D.C. cast ballots for members of the U.S. Electoral College, known as electors. These votes are known as electoral votes. Each of the states casts as many electoral votes as the total number of Senators and House Representatives in Congress, while Washington, D.C. is represented by the same number of votes as the lowest-represented state, currently three. Magical number for winning: Out of total 538 votes the magical number is 270. Trump hopeful: It seems that real estate tycoon Donald Trump is hopeful that he will be the next President. In a recent tweet he hailed the election at Hampshire and said-"See you soon". ALSO READ: US Presidential election today, Hawans for Donald Trump in India Let’s make history, says Hillary:
