New Delhi: Bollywood singer Akriti Kakar, well known for her hit songs  'Saturday Saturday' and 'Iski Uski' had a harrowing experience after a concert in the Cooch Behar district of West Bengal. In a Facebook post, Kakar mentioned how she was left "disappointed" and was forced to flee after the concert.

"After and amazing amazing concert at ‪‎#Coochbehar, I head home happy for the countless number of people who showed up yesterday! But disappointed cos a drunk and rowdy side kick of the son of the municipality chairman was abusive, ill mannered and threatening backstage! My team and I fled overnight all scared. Finally getting home," ran Akriti Kakar's Facebook post.

The singer later clarified that she has not blamed anyone and her allegations are not false. Kakar has stated that a person who accompanied the son of the local municipality chairman was the culprit. She has claimed that this person, who came backstage on the pretext of taking photos, misbehaved, pushed, and threatened her, adding that he was "loud, and rowdy and drunk".

The post garnered significant attention, drawing several comments from social media users, to which the singer was prompt enough to reply. In her replies, Kakar has admitted that the person accompanying the chairman's son had "threatened" her and her team, because of which they were forced to leave the city and travel to Siliguri before making a stop. "Fear of that one person" made them flee, she emphasised.
