SBI to collect stamp duty, registration fee and e-SBTR in Maharashtra

New Delhi [India], July 17 (ANI): India's largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) on Monday announced felicitation of online and over the counter payment of stamp duty, registration fee and Electronic Secured Bank and Treasury Receipt (e-SBTR) across all its branches in Maharashtra.

A result of a pact signed recently in Pune, it was signed by Anil Kawade, IGR and Controller of Stamps, Maharashtra State, Pune and M.K.Dutta, GM (NW-IV), SBI in presence of Deepankar Bose, CGM, SBI, Mumbai Circle Plaban Mohanta and Amitava Dutta, DGMs, from SBI Pune Zones.

The SBI facility will enable both customers and non-customers of SBI to collect the e-Stamp Papers from SBI branches.

The scheme will enable in:

-Total transaction value should be Rs.100 and above

-Customer can avail this facility through online and over the counter

Initially, SBI will launch this facility with 10 branches at various locations and other branches will also be enabled within short span of time.

Details of the individual will be verified as per IGR data base and basis which SBI will issue e-SBTR, which act a proof of payment of Govt. for stamp paper. (ANI)
